November 8, 2002 — The Skatin’ Utes Hockey Club takes on Weber State Saturday, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. at the Steiner Ice Arena, and at the same time the team will offer free Poison Prevention information to the public. Free health screening and information nights are on the schedule for 12 of the 18 home games this year.

The Skatin’ Utes are now in the midst of their biggest weekend of the young season after taking on the #1 ranked Colorado State University Rams on Thursday (a 7-4 loss), and including tonight’s game against the #2 ranked USU Aggies (in Logan), and the return home on Saturday against the #3 ranked Weber State Wildcats.

Fans coming to the Skatin’ Utes games this year are already winners, because of the team’s partnership with pharmaceutical companies and health care professionals. Saturday, Baxter Healthcare will offer everyone attending the opportunity to learn about Poison Prevention. The Utah Poison Control Center will provide education, literature, treatment guidelines, and tools for the public. Fans can learn techniques to make sure their households are safe and discover ways to avoid exposure to poisonous materials. Parents with young children are especially encouraged to attend.

Admission to home games is usually $5, but on health screening and information nights the cost is just $1.
