U of U Seniors Exhibit Art Downtown May 16-June 14

May 6, 2003 — Painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography and other forms of art will be exhibited and up for sale at the University of Utah’s upcoming 2003 Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Art Show. Scheduled to run from May 16 through June 14, the exhibit will be held at Artspace Forum Gallery, 511 West 200 South, in downtown Salt Lake City. The show, comprised of 50 pieces and curated by Ephraim Puusemp, displays works representative of the 2003 graduating class of the University of Utah’s art program. Artspace is open Wednesday through Saturday, from noon until 5 p.m. There is no cost for admission.

An opening reception, free and open to the public, will be held at Artspace on Friday, May 16, from 6 until 9 p.m. Guests can visit with the emerging artists and enjoy light refreshments. The reception will be part of that evening’s gallery stroll, a monthly event during which nearly two dozen participating art galleries, mostly downtown, stay open from 6 until 9 p.m. to welcome evening guests.
