REIKO HAYASHI, PhD, associate professor at the University of Utah College of Social Work has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture and conduct research at the University of Costa Rica in Costa Rica during the 2010-2011 academic year, according to the United States Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Hayashi will teach research courses at the University of Costa Rica School of Social Work and conduct a study entitled “Laws, services, and attitudes regarding disabilities in Costa Rica.” Hayashi is one of approximately 1,100 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program in 2010-2011.* (Dated: 06/29/2010)
