U Praised for Lifelong Learning by Salt Lake Magazine

Lifelong Learning at the University of Utah recently earned Salt Lake Magazine’s 2011 Food and Wine Education award and is featured in the magazine’s dining awards issue along with several of the valley’s most prestigious chefs, restaurants and distilleries. The 12th annual dining awards ceremony was held on February 22. Executive and dining editor Mary Brown Malouf and her panel of judges presented 34 awards to chefs, restaurants and food professionals throughout the state of Utah. Lifelong Learning at the U offers a variety of courses throughout the year with a specific emphasis on food and wine education, ranging from artisan bread baking and sushi making to classes on eating local and raw foods.
