Students at the U Raise Awareness About Violence and Abuse

According to the Utah Department of Health, one in three Utah women will experience some type of sexual assault in their lifetime. To bring awareness to this issue and all other forms of abuse, the Associated Students of the University of Utah, or ASUU, will host the Clothesline Project, Oct. 21 – 22 in the A. Ray Olpin Union Building.

Inventors Invited to Engineering Center Kickoff

The University of Utah’s Center for Engineering Innovation opens its doors Thursday, Oct. 17 with a kickoff celebration to demonstrate how it transforms inventions into ready-to-produce devices. The public event will include speed dating that enables inventors and companies with new product ideas to meet engineers for 15 minutes to explore bringing concepts to market.

Data Center Engineering Certificate at the U

University of Utah’s College of Engineering received approval this week for its new undergraduate certificate program in data center engineering. The new program is designed to prepare students to work in data centers run by government agencies and companies such as eBay, Oracle and Goldman Sachs.
