Marty Shaub Receives Executive Citation at IAEM Annual Conference

Dec. 9, 2013 – Marty Shaub, executive director for environmental health and safety and emergency management, at the University of Utah was recognized for her contributions to the association at the recent IAEM 61st Annual Conference & EMEX 2013, held in Reno, Nev. Ms. Shaub was presented with an IAEM Executive Citation by Jeff Walker, CEM, president of the IAEM-USA Council.

A Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®), Ms. Shaub served on the Executive Committee of the IAEM-USA Board of Directors in 2013, as well as leading the IAEM-USA Strategic Planning Committee. She has established connections with the state emergency management associations in Region 8, which includes the states of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. She has worked to ensure that IAEM has a presence at local emergency management conferences and has supported the association’s mentoring program.
