Dale Poulter Recieves Award for Work in Chemisty

The American Chemical Society has bestowed its Nakanishi Prize on DALE POULTER, a distinguished professor of chemistry, for his “significant work that extends chemical and spectroscopic methods to the study of important biological phenomena.” The prize carries a medallion and $3,000 cash award. Poulter studies what is known as the “isoprene biosynthetic pathway,” which all living organisms use to produce essential compounds to survive. (Date: 05/12/2011)
